Our Japanese selvedge denim is crafted on a small shuttle loom that weaves a finished self-edge. These looms require not only a highly skilled operator, but they also hold historical significance because they pre-date mass-produced textiles. This, along with the natural dye technique, pays homage to old-world craftsmanship.... giving you something to be proud to wear. The garment is constructed with white selvedge shown on the inside placket as well as on one side of the back pieced gusset... just for a bit of status flex.
