Behind the Curtain begins with our desire to tell the Descendant of Thieves origin story. Matteo Maniatty and Dres Ladro began shaping the screenplay, searching for a medium that could carry the emotion and craft we wanted. When we discovered the work of Tomas Vergara and Rogue Creatures, we recognized a rare creative genius whose ethos matched our own: handcrafted work, built with intention, and an obsession with detail. It was clear he could bring the Descendant of Thieves universe into focus. These frames show how that vision began to take shape.
